Paris Whitney Hilton (born February 17, 1981) is an American celebutante, singer, actress, model, and businesswoman.
She is probably best-known from her appearance on the MTV television series The Simple Life. She has appeared in several minor film roles, most notably in the horror film House of Wax in 2005, the direct to DVD flick Bottoms Up (2006) and most recently starring in The Hottie and The Nottie which has only earnt a measely $27,000 at the box office.
In 2004 she published a tongue-in-cheek autobiography entitled, Confessions of an Heiress, the book achieved some success. In 2006, she released her debut album Paris, published under her own label Heiress Records.
Hilton’s career pursuits include singing, modeling, acting, writing, and television. As a result of several legal incidents, Hilton served a widely publicized sentence in a Los Angeles County jail facility in 2007. Although she was originally sentenced to 45 days in prison, concerns caused by overcrowding and presumably the high level of media interest in the case resulted in Paris only serving 22 days in detention. Since serving her time in jail her party girl antics have slowed down some what but she is still responsible for a high number of wardrobe malfunctions.
